Innovations in Care

We provide programs and services that transform the lives of people affected by neuromuscular disease.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s top priority is the health and safety of our community. After careful review of the growing seriousness and community spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and discussion with trusted medical professionals and organizations, MDA has made the difficult decision to suspend the Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program, effective immediately. This includes lending equipment, accepting returned equipment, and accepting donations. If you or a loved one currently have equipment on loan from MDA, you may keep the equipment as your own.

We understand that this is a challenging time and please know that this decision has not been made lightly. We are all doing everything we can as a community and as an organization to reduce possible sources of COVID-19 transmission. MDA’s Resource Center is available to answer your questions and our Resource Specialists have been working diligently to compile resources that will be beneficial to you. MDA’s Resource Specialists will be happy to refer you to other equipment loan resources as they are available and  can be reached by phone at 1-833-ASK-MDA1 (1-833-275-6321) and by email at ResourceCenter@mdausa.org.

Thank you for understanding as we work together to navigate our way through this outbreak. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with questions.
