Even though the day started off with rain, it turned into a wonderful event.

I liked the new route, cruising down Main Street (that was great) and arriving on Beach Street.

I was also glad to see the individuals with MD. I talked to each one. I was hugged by the Mom and she congratulated me on my efforts. She was so appreciative and let me know how this money helps them. This allows her daughter to go to camp. Awesome!!!! Her speech made me teary eyed when she was up on stage.

The young woman in the wheelchair let me know that when she gets better she is buying a Harley and is going to ride with us Women. I would love to see her dream come true. I made sure Danny took pictures of me with these individuals. They are now on my Facebook page.

These individuals touched my heart and made me realize it is not about being number one in raising the most money but making a difference for these individuals. I am so glad that I can be part of such a wonderful event.

One last thing, I am proud to say that I have raised over $10,000 over the last three years for this event.

Take care and hope to see you next year!

I would also like to compliment everyone from MDA, Harley-Davidson and the Daytona Beach Police Department. The ride was really wonderful this year. We had a newer rider with us who had never ridden her bike down Main Street. You can imagine the thrill of riding down Main Street with a full police escort. We loved it!

The other element that we really felt was great was the children and their parents who came out to see us and the motorcycles. I always think it is good when we get to meet the people who benefit from what we do for them. It was emotional to say the least. I certainly hope and pray that a cure for MD is found in our lifetime.
