ALLENTOWN, Pa. , May 7, 2007 -- Funds raised at the 2007 Ride for Life XX this weekend totaled a record-setting $1,006,185, far exceeding last year’s total of $853,089.
Over 2,400 motorcyclists from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, New York and Virginia participated in the 20th anniversary of the event that is put on by the Eastern Harley-Davidson Dealers Association (EHDDA) and benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Riders raised money and rode to Reading, Pa., and Dorney Park, an amusement park in Allentown, Pa., for the huge 20th Anniversary celebration that included two days of fun, food and activities.

Top Individual Fundraisers:
First Place – Ron Kehs, raising $25,475 from Schaeffer’s Harley- Davidson/Buell, Orwigsburg, Pa.
Second Place – John Beale, raising $17,085, from Montgomery County Harley- Davidson/Buell, Norristown, Pa.
Third Place – Robert Noll, raising $16,425 from White’s Harley-
Davidson/Buell, Lebanon, Pa.
Top Dealerships:
First Place – Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson/Buell with $230,417.
Second Place – White’s Harley-Davidson/Buell, $81,461.
Third Place – Brian’s Harley-Davidson/Buell, Langhorne, Pa., $80,617.
Fourth Place – Lancaster Harley-Davidson, Willow Street, Pa., $62,904.
Fifth Place – Appalachian Harley-Davidson, Mechanicsburg, Pa., $38,429.
Other highlights:
- Anthony Gallucci was the top fund-raiser in the kids category, raising $2,114.
- Deer Lake led motorcycle clubs in participants with 207 members taking part.
- The dealership that came the farthest distance for the event was Cerini Harley-Davidson from Belle Vernon, Pa.
- Kathleen McCarthy, a customer of Brian’s Harley-Davidson/Buell, was the winner of the 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom, autographed by Willie G. Davidson.
