Harley-Davidson’s support for MDA began in 1980 and since then, its family of customers, dealers, suppliers and employees has raised more than $65 million to help fund research and crucial services for children and adults with muscular dystrophy and related diseases.
Among the concerts, parties and other history-making events this summer are many ways to help MDA. Many events will happen in Milwaukee, Harley-Davidson’s birthplace and headquarters, August 28-31. Elsewhere, all summer long, there are opportunities to help both online or at local Harley-Davidson dealerships.
For all of the MDA-related events for the 105th, and for details about local rides and events, visit www.mdarides.org.
MDA’s Public Information Department is available to help develop story ideas or arrange interviews for 105th news in your area. Contact the team at (520) 529-5317, or bobmackle@mdausa.org.
The Ride Home: August 17-27
Harley-Davidson riders can follow party- and fun-dotted routes from 105 starting points to Milwaukee for the Labor Day weekend anniversary festivities.
MDA is asking riders to make their ride make a difference and raise pledges and donations for the occasion, and has created a special Web site for easy fundraising online: www.joinmda.org/105th.
Top fundraisers will participate in one of the weekend’s highlighted events: the Parade of MDA Heroes in Milwaukee on Saturday Aug. 30.
